Chris Webber Gets Emotional Talking About Players’ Boycott

Chris Webber, who would’ve been on the call during Wednesday night’s NBA games, got emotional tonight while talking about today’s events and the players’ boycott led by the Milwaukee Bucks that resulted in three playoff games being postponed, including the Magic-Bucks Game 6, Houston-Oklahoma and Lakers-Portland.

“Don’t listen to these people telling you don’t do anything because it’s not going to end right away,” Webber said to the players boycotting the NBA playoff games. “You are starting something for the next generation and the next generation to take over.”

“Do you have to be smart? Yes. Do you have to make sure you have a plan? Yes. Do you have to be articulate about that plan? Yes.”

He added, “I applaud it because it’s the young people leading the way.”

Wednesday night came to a close with the Bucks releasing their demands for Wisconsin politicians and law enforcement and want “meaningful measures to address issues of police accountability, brutality, and criminal justice reform.”

  1. When are they going to correctly label this, IT IS A STRIKE NOT A BOYCOTT. Boycott is defined as something different than not working. A strike is when you decide to not work out of protest.

  2. Chris would be more effective if he started a charity to distribute hearing aids for angry young black men.

From what I see on the videos most of the shootings are caused because those young men can’t hear very well and don’t obey simple instructions like Asians, Hispanics, and white people.

  3. In the future, these sports owners will regret allowing these athletes to use their occupational work site as a platform.

I guess the late Texans owner Bob McNair was correct when he said, “the inmates are now running the asylum”.

  4. Weber looks and sounds good, but what comes out of his mouth is as pathetic and anything Barrack Obama said or says about anything.

Obama is worth $300 million only 3 years out of the White House. He has never accomplished anything except getting elected to office.

But he was elected by Americans. In Weber’s world, that just Ain’t gonna cut it. Weber has lived a charmed life, but he just said that YOU Cannot do what he did or what Obama did.

If you listen that garbage and believe it, maybe you deserve what you don’t get outta life.

  5. Well here is an idea how about start classes on how to live an honest life and be respectful to leo when you are approached simple rules such as don’t fight, don’t run, comply with lawful orders. Teach them if you do that they will act like most of the law abiding population that don’t have bad outcomes be a good start there bro.

  6. I only hear what is wrong, what needs to be changed, what OTHER people and institutions need to do. It never starts with the individual, with personal accountability, with a harsh and long stare into the mirror. Weber is a guy, who is black, wearing a $1,500 suit, on a national platform, having made millions of dollars dribbling a ball, opining about what is wrong with America and policing. What are YOU doing Chris, other than flapping your gums, cashing your checks, and living life 99% of us don’t enjoy?
