Chiefs TE Travis Kelce Joins Walgreens to Encourage Fans to Get the Covid-19 Vaccine

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is speaking out against a very debatable topic, the Covid-19 vaccine.

Kelce has partnered up with Walgreens for its “This is Our Shot” campaign to encourage people to get the vaccine through the Walgreens website, phone app or by calling the headquarters.

The NFL has been outspoken about getting the vaccine, stating that only those who have been vaccinated will be allowed to eat with teammates, or unmask inside the facility or skip daily testing.

Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu recently has spoken out stating that he thinks the protocol by the NFL could hurt teams from a continuity as camps start and teams try to become more together as a unit.

“It’s that point in the year where everything’s starting to open back up and getting around family, being at an event, getting back to our normal way of life,” Kelce said.

“You know, it’s right there. The vaccine makes it easier and makes it safe for everybody, so I just want to encourage everybody to get the vaccine.”

Kelce had a monster 2020 season, catching 11 touchdowns to go along with 105 catches and 1416 yards. His ability to reach fans is something he hopes will help educate those that have yet to get the vaccine.
