Chicago’s Clown Mayor Is Trying To Say Shootings Are Down, Meanwhile 5 More Are Dead, 54 Injured

Just a few days after eight people were shot in a Chicago house, claiming the lives of three women and one man, the Windy City racked up another five dead and 54 injured (the count keeps jumping) over the weekend in shootings that included a crowd yanking a man and a woman out of a car. Video of the incident shows the couple being shot as the gunman runs away. The man died, and the woman is in critical condition.

As of June 14, 1,587 people have been shot in Chicago this year. That is the second-highest total shootings to date over the last decade. Only 2016, with 1,724 shootings, has a higher total to date, according to a Chicago Tribune shooting tracker page. 2021 has already seen a staggering 500 more shootings to date than 2019.

Meanwhile, shooting deaths, as of June 12, were at 294 homicides. Chicago saw 774 murders in 2020, which was up 50% over 2019. 2021 murders across the city are currently outpacing 2020’s numbers.

Even with insane shooting and murder statistics smacking Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot right in the face on a weekly basis, she has been busy working to declare racism a public health emergency in her city.

“At almost every single point in our city’s history, racism has taken a devastating toll on the health and well-being of our residents of color – especially those who are Black,” Lightfoot declared in a statement. “Without formally acknowledging this detrimental impact, we will never be able to move forward as a city and fully provide our communities with the resources they need to live happy and healthy lives.”

As you’d expect, Lightfoot didn’t have a public social media statement about this weekend’s gun violence.

When asked Monday about the shootings, Lightfoot tried to spin the data. Read this carefully.

“June over June,” she said.

Uh, you guys can go look at the statistics for yourself. She can start throwing around “June over June” all she wants, but the numbers are right here from her hometown newspaper. Read them with your own eyes.

  1. Syphilis is worse than gonorrhea. Herpes is worse that Chlamydia.

If Beetlejuice were to make comments on something she knows something about I would listen. As soon as black on black violence and death mean something to Beetlejuice I will listen.

Beetlejuice will release further comments after her appointment down at the Public Health Clinic

  2. I was born and raised in Chicago. Got to Texas as soon as I could but still have a lot of family in Chicago. Chicago has a long and storied history of corrupt and incompetent mayors so it takes a special kind of stupid to ascend to the top of that list, but Beetlejuice has managed to do it in a remarkably short period of time.

    • Best thing that ever happened to me was getting a divorce from my ex wife and moving out of Chicagoland. I now also live in Texas. Best damn place I’ve ever lived. They have a lot of pride down here, which is something I have never seen in any of the other seven states I have lived in.
