Charles Barkley's Feud With the Women of San Antonio Continues to Grow

Early in the playoffs Charles Barkley said that the women of San Antonio needed weight watchers. As Barkley's comments go, this was fairly innocuous shot, a clear joke at the expense of San Antonio's women that was intended for a few laughs and lacked much substance. But the ladies of San Antonio were not pleased, commencing a campaign to force Barkely to apologize for saying San Antonio women were overweight.

Sunday night Barkley responded to the women's request for an apology.

It was awesome, see for yourself here.

Now the women of San Antonio have returned fire, with a mural of a fat Barkley painted on the window of San Antonio's Beauty Storm Salon. This is outstanding.

Given that the Spurs are in good shape to advance to the western conference finals, we've probably got a couple of more weeks of this feud. Here's hoping it continues to escalate. Hell, given the way NBA officiating is going, the league might need it to escalate to help distract all of us from what's happening on the court.
