These days, when things seem completely out of control, leave it to plain-speaking Charles Barkley to bring a much-needed dose of reality.
Talking on Inside the NBA Thursday night, Barkley had this to say about the concept of defunding the police:
“You know who ain’t gonna defund the cops? White neighborhoods and rich neighborhoods. That notion they keep saying that, I mean wait a minute, who are black people supposed to call … Ghostbusters? When we have crime in our neighborhood?”
Charles reiterated that rich, white folks are always going to have police protection, and summed it up by saying, “We need to stop that defund or abolish the cops crap.”
Earlier this year, Sir Charles put the kibosh on running for Governor of Alabama, saying both the Republicans and Democrats are “full of crap.” There’s that word again.
Perhaps he should reconsider. America needs this kind of honesty.
Rill talk as usual from Charles. The idea of getting rid of police is an insidious plot by white racist leftists who grin from ear to ear at the thought of controlling black people. LBJ [the president, not the uneducated blowhard in Orlando] said he’d have black people voting democrat for 200 years after the legislation that he put in place [which black intellectuals at the time correctly predicted would DESTROY the black family and thus, the black community]. Apparently that wasn’t good enough. They want to control them for 2,000 years.
They’ll call Ryder and his community elected group of social working pups. Tomboy Skye would handle Jacob Blake.
Charles…forget about a coronation…start with humility…and work your way up to the Governor’s residence…just sayin’

Yup, Kenny and Charles ain’t on the same page. I for one am not all in on Chucky though. He is all in on the NBA in China and was talking trash about VP Pence for criticizing the NBA about not backing Hong Kong. As far as governor of Alabama, get real. While it is true both parties are full of crap, you actually have to work really hard to run a state. Charles does not like to work hard anymore and who can blame him. Politics ain’t worth it.

I live in Alabama, and if Charles ran he’d win in a landslide. Even Alabama fans love him. Charles still likes to party though and probably isn’t really interested in being a full time politician.
Spot on Sir Charles. “Defund the Police” is an idea that could’ve come straight from the Grand Dragon of the KKK. Want to tear a community apart? Take away the nuclear family, education and law and order. You don’t need lynchings or banning them from voting….hell frame the very tools of their destruction with terms like “hope”, “justice” and “fair”, spin everything that does not serve that ideology as “racist” and THEY will actually hold the virtual gun to their own heads and pull the trigger. Let them kill each other. Sound familiar? The Democrats have been genius in their evil and set generations of black folks on the path to destruction for decades. Typing this makes me so mad the more I think about it. Hopefully Barkley is the first realistic look at these evil fu#kers and show uneducated black folks what is being done to them in front of their own eyes.
Love Charles! Always spot on. Although no one sitting at that dais (or playing professional sports for that matter) will have any difficulty getting the police to come when they need. It’s the poor neighborhoods of all races and ethnicities that suffer.
If the owners of the NBA had any brains they would put Barkley in charge of the league.
