CFB Players, Including Auburn QB Bo Nix, Already Announcing Sponsorship Deals

We've now hit July 1, which means college athletes can now receive compensation for their name, image and likeness. We already knew this was going to be a wild day, but with players announcing sponsorship deals just minutes after the clock struck midnight, we may want to strap ourselves in.

Auburn quarterback Bo Nix was one of the first to announce his sponsorship with Milo's. In an Instagram post at 12:02 a.m., the junior wrote "How SWEET it is to partner with @drinkmilos for my first sponsorship as a college athlete!"

Brilliant marketing by Milo's. Why? Because Nix is the first athlete to announce a sponsorship deal, and everyone will be covering him. And you want to know which company will be included in every single bit of that coverage? You guessed it, Milo's.

Hell, I've already mentioned them three times now

But Nix isn't the only Auburn player to announce a deal. Quite the contrary, in fact. Running back Shaun Shivers, wide receiver Ja'Varrius Johnson and cornerback Jaylin Simpson all have the same posts for Yoke Gaming:

Not quite the same effect as Nix holding a Milo's bottle of sweet tea (that's four times I've mentioned them, by the way), but still. They are simple posts that now put money in the pockets of college athletes everywhere.

Stay tuned. There are going to be a lot of these sponsorship announcements today.

As for me, I came up with a few companies that should target specific players to represent their brands. Click here to check them out and let me know on Twitter (@ClintRLamb) if you've got any ideas of your own to add.
