Carson Wentz Tells Fan He Will Push Through 'Like I Always Do'

Carson Wentz will be the first to admit he's had a miserable season as the starting QB for the Philadelphia Eagles. It's why he is now the backup.

He hasn't addressed his benching to the media, but he did respond to a young fan on Twitter.

"God's got a plan for me and I'll keep pushing through this like I always do -- trusting HIM and giving it everything I got!" Wentz wrote.

For now, Jalen Hurts has replaced Wentz as the starter. The Eagles are 3-8-1 heading into Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints. They basically need to win out to have even a small shot at the playoffs. Then again, in the NFC Least, they are only two wins behind the first-place New York Giants.

Either way, Wentz's struggles are among the reasons the Eagles are where they are, which is nowhere good. As the QB, at least half of the blame falls on Wentz, and anything leftover should go to coach Doug Pederson.

As the QB, though, it's also important for Wentz to keep believing. Based on his Twitter response, that doesn't appear to be an issue.
