Carson Wentz Has Now Played Enough Snaps To Deliver Colts’ Pick To Eagles

Videos by OutKick

When the Philadelphia Eagles agreed to trade quarterback Carson Wentz to the Indianapolis Colts, the exchange included a 2021 third-round pick and a conditional 2022 second-round pick that could turn into a first-round pick … and it seems like he may have just hit the mark.

OutKick previously reported that the Eagles received the 85th overall pick in this year’s draft, along with a conditional second-rounder that could become a first-round pick based on Wentz’s playing time.

The quarterback needed to play 75% of the Colts’ offensive snaps this year — or 70% of the snaps if the Colts qualified for the postseason.

After Saturday night’s win over the New England Patriots, Wentz has now played enough snaps to ensure that even if he missed the remainder of the regular season, he would still meet the 75% mark, ProFootballRumors.com reports.

The Eagles will now have three first-round selections in the 2022 draft, with the Colts’ pick, the Dolphins’ pick, and their own.
