Carlos Correa Asks His Wife, Danielle, To Make Ultimate Sacrifice For Astros

Houston Astros shortstop Carlos Correa is asking his former beauty queen crown-winning wife, Danielle, to think team, team, team as baseball nears its comeback from the coronavirus shutdown. There's no 'i' in team, Danielle. And that means Carlos is asking Danielle to make the ultimate sacrifice as Major League Baseball prepares for a 60-game shootout to determine which teams make the 2020 playoffs.

Carlos is asking Danielle to stay out of beauty salons. That's right, team...team...team. Stop the spread of corona and for God's sake, don't risk a pennant run by getting your nails done and contracting a virus that could spread through a clubhouse.

Danielle, who was Miss Texas USA 2016, just has to wait until this weekend softball tournament on PEDs ends in October or whenever Rob Manfred says he'll hold a World Series and then Carlos is all for getting nails done. Kudos to Carlos for just being honest here -- let's get through a season, minimize risk that the whole thing will have to be shut down and get on with business. By the way, Carlos turns 26 in September and is on the verge of a substantial contract. He needs baseball back in a huge way so he can cash in as he becomes arbitration eligible in 2021. Owners not making money is bad for him.

Now Danielle just has to sacrifice for a few months.
