Steelers defensive tackle Cam Heyward wasted no time firing up Twitter Sunday after Pittsburgh’s 38-7 beatdown on Baker Mayfield and the Browns at Heinz Field. His target? Mary Kay Cabot, the Browns beat writer at Cleveland.com who sent out a tweet at 2:36 ET while Heyward was torturing Mayfield and it was waiting for him when he got back to the locker room to celebrate the Steelers moving to 5-0.
“Baker Mayfield takes a hard shot from Cam Heyward, who wanted to make him think about his injury. Mayfield winces on the bench,” Cabot tweeted.

“Never said that. Period. I said I wanted to inflict good punish as in punish the Qb as any d lineman would,” Heyward responded. “Also I said I wanted to make him think about the rush. I respect every player and I never want to be known as dirty player. I respect reporting please respect my words.”
That was the only tweet Heyward sent out after the game. He was done. The Browns were done. And Baker was done after being pulled in the 3rd quarter after going 10 of 18 for 119 yards, a touchdown, and two interceptions, including a pick-six.
As for next week against the Bengals, Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski says Mayfield will start — if he’s healthy.
Maybe the left side of the OLine holds their blocks another sec or so and Heyward can’t take a run at Mayfield? Not a Baker fan…just sayin’
I don’t see any story here. Just Twitter drama.
