Buckle up, folks. There are rumblings that we could get a Gavin Newsom vs. Caitlyn Jenner battle royale if Jenner, a high-profile Republican, decides to pull the trigger and get into a recall election war with the Democratic governor. Axios reported Tuesday that Jenner is working through Republican channels to explore what a possible campaign would look like.
Sources of the news outlet confirm that Jenner is meeting with Caroline Wren, a GOP fundraiser who has previously worked with a Donald Trump fundraising committee.
This isn’t the first time Caitlyn, 71, has been said to be considering a run for the California governor’s job. Back in February, her manager said it’s not happening. “Caitlyn is not running for governor, has never considered running for governor and is very happy doing the work that she is doing to promote LGBT rights and spending time with her 18 grandchildren and 10 children,” her manager told media outlets.
Now it’s April and media outlets are frothing over such a matchup. Some think this is just a play to get back into the public spotlight and maybe land some reality show spots.
“Caitlyn Jenner is never going to be governor of California, but she may get herself a new show on a streamer out of all this,” an industry insider said Tuesday.
Jenner’s most recent reality work came on The Masked Singer where she performed as the Phoenix.
As for the California recall effort, possibly feeling the heat over what’s coming, Newsom announced this week the state will be reopening on June 15. “With more than 20 million vaccines administered across the state, it is time to turn the page on our tier system and begin looking to fully reopen California’s economy,” Newsom said in a Tuesday statement, per CNBC.

In a real election, ‘mask on between bites’ Gavin would lose. But as long as Dominion voting machines are around, he’s got nothing to worry about..
The only way Newsom would be in trouble is if the California democrat party supported his ouster and had a viable candidate run against him. That hasn’t happened yet so the decades of stacking the voting deck through immigration and fraud supporting election rules, Newsom should be able to keep his job.
