Buy Reds OF Nick Castellanos’ South Florida House

Are you on the way to Florida from California, New York, Chicago, Minneapolis? Are you having trouble finding the right home for your growing family that’s escaping those hellholes? Reds outfielder Nick Castellanos put his Davie, Florida house on the market this weekend, and it has a perfect blend of outside space for you, a pool for the kids to enjoy, and that open floor plan your wife has had her eyes on for years.

At $927,900 you’ll get four bedrooms, two-and-a-half bathrooms, and nearly an acre of property that is covered by a nice swath of travertine around the classy pool. The other big news here has to be the garage doors that can be dropped down when the rain starts blowing sideways. Hit a button and ….BOOM(!)….the party rolls on.

From Nick’s realtor Seth Saperstein of

Don’t miss this incredible opportunity to own this stunning 4 bedroom / 2.5 bathroom 3, 364 adj. sq. ft. Acre Estate Pool Home in the sought after tranquil community of Whispering Pines. This completely remodeled home boasts newly upgraded wood kitchen cabinetry with quartz countertops, eat in breakfast area, SS appliances, vaulted ceilings, upgraded bathrooms, beautiful wood laminate floors, formal dining room, wood burning fireplace in living room, crown molding and gorgeous wainscoting millwork throughout, huge master suite with tray ceilings, large upgraded master bathroom with gorgeous glass shower enclosure and dual vanities, impact windows and doors, massive travertine rear patio pool deck with gorgeous infinity edge style pool, the list goes on and on!! This home will not last!!

It was an interesting call going with the wood-burning fireplace in south Florida, but I guess some people want the ambiance for like three weeks in December before snapping out of it and realizing cold weather isn’t something to celebrate.

As for location, you’ll be just 5.5 miles from Starbucks, and it’s not some crazy five-mile California drive in nutso traffic. We’re talking about a casual ten-minute ride to get your morning coffee. No big deal. Whole Foods is nine miles down the highway. Costco is in the same area. In other words, you’ll be living an amazing life compared to what you left behind in those hellholes like New York and Los Angeles.

Stop the U-Haul. Call Nick’s realtor.

Mortgage: $4,500 or so a month which is nothing these days.

  1. WOW! A pro athlete’s house that looks almost “normal” …. instead of an over-the-top “if a pimp-rapper won The Lottery” extravaganza mega crib !!!

Sure it’s at $1M but 3,300 sq ft in that neighborhood is standard.
