Browns RB Hunt Thinks Nick Chubb Should Be Paid; Excited About Potential Two-Back System

The Cleveland Browns have one of the best 1-2 running back combos in the NFL as they enter the 2021 campaign.

Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt both had moments of greatness last season for the 11-5 Browns, and Hunt is speaking out about the ongoing debate over a new deal for Chubb.

“Man, please pay that man,” Hunt said Thursday, “He’s a freak of nature.

“He’s a brother to me, and I love what he does on and off the field – just a great person and teammate.”

Chubb is set to enter the final season of his rookie deal. He'll become a free agent, free to any team, come March 16th.

Hunt has already gotten his payday, as he inked a two-year, $13.25 million extension on September 8th and is under contract with the Browns through 2022.

Having Hunt and Chubb together could be a huge for the team's success, and considering the NFL is shifting from 16 to 17 games, the Browns are going to need two running back who can get the job done.

Hunt is happy about the thought of a two-back system for the Browns in 2021. He's ready to combine with Chubb to wear down defenses.

“There were some games , we couldn’t throw the ball 10 yards,” said Hunt.

That is all likely to change this upcoming season.
