The Cleveland Browns plan to get off to a fast start in 2020 under new head coach Kevin Stefanski hasn’t gone exactly as planned. The old Browns showed up today against the Ravens and it all started with Baker Mayfield throwing an interception on the Browns opening drive led to a Ravens touchdown.
Then, because that wasn’t Browns enough, Stefanski called for a fake punt deep in Browns territory. That led to a field goal and a Ravens 10-0 lead. None of this should surprise Browns fans. The franchise is 1-19-1 on opening day since 1999. That’s not a misprint. The last time Cleveland won on opening day was 2004.
