Instagram star Brittany Renner did what all the other scouts were doing back in 2019 when PJ Washington was putting up 15ppg for the University of Kentucky. She was scouting and could clearly see that PJ had top-15 NBA Draft talent and these days that means a solid starting salary in the League. It turns out PJ was drafted No. 12 in the 2019 draft and here we are in June 2020 with Brittany making it Instagram official between her and Washington, who was putting up 12ppg before coronavirus came along.
Ladies, this is how it’s done. If you’re an Instagram star and you’re looking to lock down a draft pick, you need to put in the work. You need to work harder than the other Instagram stars out there. Brittany’s history with athletes is well documented (she wrote a book about it), including a stint with Colin Kaepernick, who, she claims, made her pay for her own flights. Excerpts from the book also addressed how Kaep “Convinced her that this was a test to gauge her true intentions and interest. Told her that if she was in it for the right reasons, she would save her money for flights.“
Things clearly seem to be more stable with Washington, 21. She has her Instagram empire. He has a $3.8 million rookie contract that will balloon to $5.8 million here in a few years. Good for these two. You rarely see love like this flourish these days on social media. He’s even retweeting her Twitter official announcement. It’s 2020, that’s how you know an athlete-Instagram star relationship is serious these days.
