BREAKING: New York Governor Andrew Cuomo Stepping Down

Videos by OutKick

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Tuesday that he’s resigning in the wake of multiple sexual harassment claims.

“I think that given the circumstances, the best way that I can help now is if I step aside and let the government back to governing,” Cuomo says.

“My resignation will be effective in 14 days.”

Here’s Cuomo’s announcement:

Last week, New York Attorney General Letitia James announced that an independent investigation concluded Gov. Cuomo had sexually harassed 11 women.

Lt. Gov. Kathy Hochul will replace Cuomo as governor of New York.

“The three-term governor’s decision was announced as momentum built in the Legislature to remove him by impeachment,” the AP says. “It came after New York’s attorney general released the results of an investigation that found Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women.

“Investigators said he subjected women to unwanted kisses; groped their breasts or buttocks or otherwise touched them inappropriately; made insinuating remarks about their looks and their sex lives; and created a work environment rife with fear and intimidation.'”

    • No immediate impact to others, but the thought leaders and cultural trend setters all originate from NYC and LA. Virtually any hair brained bad idea we deal with right now originated or entered the country from one of those two cities. Then the infection slowly oozes into the rest of the country over time. The further left NY goes the farther they drag the rest of the country down the hole with them eventually. So down the road, all you see happening in NYC is one day coming to a city near you.
