Bill Belichick Annihilates Sub During Commercial Shoot

Bill Belichick had a busy day Tuesday shooting a commercial for Subway in Branford, Connecticut where he sat on a bench and crushed a sub for what you have to assume will be a commercial that will run throughout the 2020 season. Two things stand out from the commercial shoot: Bill's big smile (flip through the photos below) and him wearing a hoodie at one point during the day.

This feels like weird times for Bill. Tommy's gone to Tampa and Cam Newton and his wardrobe are coming to town. Add in Bill breaking out of his shell and saying yes to a national advertising campaign and it just feels so strange. Bill's going to be asked what he orders at Subway via Zoom and it's all going to be awkward.

The other weird part about this is that Bill has to have his forever money in the bank so this isn't some situation where he's hard up for a few bucks. He had to actually want this assignment which is completely out of character for Hoodie. I fully expect a major feature story to be written about Bill -- with Bill taking part in that feature -- and released at some point during training camp. This feels like an orchestrated remake of Bill post-Tommy.

What's the end goal here for Bill? It could be to show he's not the robot we all thought for the last 20 years. Maybe he's going to go plot twist on us and be the fun coach who enjoys the last 15 years of his coaching career.
