Big-Time Recruit Commits To Kentucky Football, Continuing OL Pipeline To The NFL

Over the last two seasons, Kentucky has fielded one of college football's top offensive lines. With guys like Logan Stenberg, Drake Jackson and Landon Young, the Wildcats have built a pipeline to the NFL.

Darian Kinnard, Luke Fortner and Kenneth Horsey return for 2021, but the unit needs to be replenished with more talent. Well, Kentucky took a big step in that department on Thursday with the commitment of four-star offensive lineman Grant Bingham.

The 6-foot-6, 302-pound in-state offensive tackle from Paintsville, Kentucky had offers from multiple SEC program. He also had other big-time programs such as Notre Dame and Michigan pursuing him as well, but he chose the Wildcats instead.

His arrival in 2022 will come at the perfect time with guys such as Kinnard and Fortner expected to move on.

According to the 247Sports Composite Rankings, Bingham is rated as the No. 296 overall player, No. 36 offensive tackle and No. 3 player from the state of Kentucky. He now makes the fourth commitment for the Wildcats in the 2022 class, joining fellow four-star Jeremiah Caldwell.

Head coach Mark Stoops hopes to keep the momentum going on the recruiting trail, especially if he wants to stay competitive in the SEC.
