Big Ten Releases 2022 Schedule: Ohio State vs. Notre Dame Headline Top Matchups

The college football season came to an end Monday night, which means it's time to look towards the 2022 season.

The Big Ten released its official schedule for all 14 teams, with some intriguing out of conference games on the docket.

Big Ten blueblood Ohio State will kick off the season at home against Notre Dame on Sept. 3. It's the first of a home-and-home series set to take place between the two teams. The Buckeyes and Fighting Irish have surprisingly met only six times, most recently in 2016. The Buckeyes won that Fiesta Bowl matchup, 44-28.

Defending Big Ten champion Michigan will start the season with out of conference showdowns with Colorado State, Hawaii, and UConn. The two annual marquee games, vs. Michigan State and at Ohio State, will come on Oct. 29 and Nov. 26 respectively. The Wolverines dropped their second game in a row to the Spartans this past season, 37-33. They did, however, defeat the Buckeyes 42-27 for their first series win since 2011.

Other notable non-conference games are as follows.
