Let’s take to the diamond once again and get three more plays for us to make some money on before the weekend.

Rays vs. Mariners

Rich Hill has had a really sporadic season. In some games, he is throwing blanks and in others he is getting lit up with ease. Tonight, he faces a Mariners team that ranks second to last in overall batting average. Their batters have just a .050 average against him, but in fairness, it is only in 12 total at-bats. Justin Dunn, on the other side, has actually been pretty decent and in four starts is carrying a 2.95 ERA at home. I’m taking the first five innings under 4.5 runs at -124.

Tigers vs. Angels

Othani is on the hill tonight against the Tigers. In five starts this season, his home ERA is a stellar 1.85. Matt Manning makes his Major League debut tonight, I believe. These are always harder games to handicap. Although previous performance doesn’t give us a reason to think it will continue, we need to have some sort of data to gain insight. I’m not going to touch the over/under for that reason, but I will play the Angels to win. I’m not going to take the moneyline because there is very little value on that. I’m playing the Angels run line of -1.5 and plus money odds of +104.

Brewers vs. Rockies

The Rockies are hot, fresh off a sweep of the Padres. The Brewers are coming off a sweep at the hands of the Reds. However, the Brewers do get Brandon Woodruff, who has been surprisingly effective this year, to pitch for them. He’s been very tough on the road, with just a 0.67 ERA. On the other side, German Marquez has been hard to hit for Brewers batters (6 for 45; .118 average against). He’s had some decent starts sandwiched by terrible ones. I’m hoping he has one of his better ones tonight. Despite the readings that say the wind is blowing out at 13 mph at Coors, I’m going to take the under 10.5 runs at -118.
