Sports Betting Projected To Grow Worldwide
Sports betting isn't just sweeping the nation. It's sweeping the globe.
Per The Sports Daily, studies project that the sports wagering industry will increase by a whopping $144 billion (U.S. figure) between 2020 and 2025. That includes a predicted rise of $7 billion in the U.S. within the next four years.
Oh, and it could more than triple that overseas, particularly in Europe.
"Around Europe, betting in sports is permitted in many countries," The Sports Daily noted. "Some countries specialize in brick-and-mortar casinos and sportsbooks that serve locals and tourists."
OutKick readers, of course, can turn to FanDuel Sportsbook for special offers.
"The future of sports betting is undoubtedly bright. The competition among online sportsbooks has pushed the operators to take specific measures," The Sports Daily wrote. "For instance, mouthwatering bonuses and promotions, aggressive advertising programs, and enhanced customer support services have attracted many new gamblers to the sites."
Along with North America and Europe, Africa and Asia are also slowly but surely introducing legislation that allows their citizens to take a dive into the world of online sports gambling.
