Bet the Future: A Look at Super Bowl, AFC and NFC Championship Odds

With the playoffs set to begin Saturday, now is a solid time to re-visit the NFL futures market. If you’ve never placed a bet on a “future” before, it’s a wager on an event/outcome that won’t take place the day you bet it. Some of the most popular “futures” are the Super Bowl winner, AFC winner, NFC winner, and exact playoff matchups. These betting lines are updated continuously throughout the season.

Now that playoff seeds are locked in, it’s popular for the betting public to start taking serious consideration to those futures. Winning a future can bring a significant payday.

You can bet on a future through our sports betting partner, the FanDuel Sportsbook, which offers exceptional lines for those with a keen eye for the run to the Super Bowl. FanDuel sources all odds in this article.

As a bonus, if you’re new to sports betting, the FanDuel Sportsbook is boosting your odds to an incredible 25-to-1 for Wild Card Weekend. Bet $5 on any team to win outright, and if they do, you win $125! New users can lock in this offer by clicking this link.

Here are the current odds for Super Bowl LV winner:

The Cheifs are the favorites at +220, meaning you’d profit $220 on a $100 bet if the Chiefs won the Super Bowl. The Buffalo Bills, who many believe are the Chiefs’ most significant threat, are incredibly intriguing. Buffalo provides excellent value at +700.

My pick for Super Bowl winner is the Green Bay Packers, who have the second-lowest odds at +500. I have a future bet on them already and one on their consensus biggest threat, the New Orleans Saints, at +750.

If choosing the Super Bowl champion isn’t your cup of whiskey, check out the odds for the AFC and NFC winners:

For the AFC, I’d argue the Bills have the most appealing odds at +340, but the Ravens at +600 intrigue me the most. The Ravens finished the season winners of five-straight and could carry that momentum throughout the playoffs.

For the NFC, I’m taking the Packers and Saints while they’re both at plus money. After this weekend, it’s fair to expect those odds to lower. But I’m much more intrigued with betting them to meet in the NFC Championship game.

If you prefer to predict matchups, check out what the FanDuel Sportsbook has to offer for the Super Bowl, AFC Championship, and NFC Championship games:

I like the Chiefs to meet the Packers in the Super Bowl, so if I were betting it, I’d grab it at +440. For those who like the Bills to represent the. AFC, a meeting with the Packers is a whopping +1200.

For the conference championships, give me Chiefs vs. Bills at +180 and my favorite bet of this entire article, Packers vs. Saints at +200.

No matter what you like, futures certainly give you an awesome chance to win big on a fair wager. If you're looking for advice for this weekend's game, check the OutKick sports betting page on Thursday. I'll be releasing my picks.
