What a day Bernie Sanders had at Joe Biden’s inauguration. Dressed like he was going to Sunday brunch with his copy of the Sunday New York Times, Sanders sat by himself as he waited patiently for the inauguration to go down before he got back to the business of the day.
Wearing mittens made from repurposed wool sweaters and lined with fleece made from recycled plastic bottles, according to Buzzfeed reporter Ruby Cramer, Bern had a huge day amongst those in the meme world who turned the politician into the day’s biggest joke.
You’re looking at a man who clearly wanted to be home next to an oil lamp pumping out mass text messages to his supporters looking for financial support before taking his cardboard down to the recycling center.

Bernie’s mittens are made by Jen Ellis, a teacher from Essex Junction, Vt. She gave them to him 2+ years ago and was surprised when he began wearing them on the campaign trail. Picked up winter jacket at the Burlington Fall Ski Swap. Mittens made by his neighbor, Florence, a gift from a few years ago he just recently rediscovered under the passenger seat of his car this morning. Annoyed this is taking so long. #bernie #BernieSanders @BernieSanders pic.twitter.com/vbICm2VA7J
