Best Bets: Nets Vs. Bucks Offers It All
It's the most-anticipated matchup of the NBA playoffs' second-round -- the Nets vs. the Bucks.
The Nets feature the star-studded trio of Kevin Durant, James Harden and Kyrie Irving. The Bucks feature reigning back-to-back NBA MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, and probably have the edge in the depth department. A lot of people would be just fine if this were the actual Finals matchup.

This is expected to be as close as they come when it comes to a second-round series. The Nets are the second seed in the Eastern Conference and own homecourt advantage. The Bucks are the third seed.
Interestingly, the Bucks finished with the league's best record in 2019 and 2020, yet failed to reach the Finals each time. So some are predicting that this could be their season, that unlike the previous two years, they are peaking at the right time.
They definitely have the edge in experience among the head coaches. Nets coach Steve Nash is in his first year as a head coach at any level and first year on the bench in the playoffs. Meanwhile, Mike Budenholzer became Bucks coach in 2018 after five years with the Atlanta Hawks.
But it always comes down to the talent on the court, and given that the Nets have more star power and are playing at home, the smart money is to take Brooklyn (and the minus-4) to claim Game 1.
