Bengals QB Burrow Wishes He Could Be The Cover Boy For EA Sports' New College Football Video Game

Football video gamers are rejoicing today as EA Sports has announced that they are going to be releasing a new version of EA Sports College Football.

It will be the first version of the game released since former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was on the cover of the 2014 version.

EA Sports tweeted out: “For those who never stopped believing… #EASPORTSCollegeFootball”

Upon seeing the announcement that a new version of the game would be released, many players around college and pro football took to social media to give their take on the news. Current Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow was one such player.

While Burrow was the 2019 AP College Football Player of the Year, it's hard to imagine that EA Sports would put him on the cover of the game this season.

Here are a couple of covers that could have existed if the game had been in production over the last few years.

Burrow, who at Ohio State and LSU threw for 8,852 yards, 78 touchdowns and just 11 interceptions, won the Heisman Trophy in 2019.

The first overall pick of the Cincinnati Bengals had been playing very good football last season prior to tearing his left ACL and MCL in a game in late November, which ended his season early.

Some breakout names that could potentially find their way onto the cover for this upcoming season include Clemson QB D.J. Uiagalelei, Alabama DB Malachi Moore, Oklahoma LB David Ugwoegbu, Georgia QB JT Daniels, and Texas A&M RB Devon Achane.
