Chase Claypool had a monster day for the Steelers in their win over the Eagles on Sunday. The rookie wide receiver caught seven balls for 110 yards and three touchdowns. Speaking with the media today, Ben Roethlisberger went out of his way to compliment star receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster for his selflessness in being happy for Claypool:
Roethlisberger says he was so proud of JuJu Smith-Schuster for being so happy for Chase Claypool, told his wife and his friends about it, too: "It made me really proud and really happy to have selfless guys that care more about the win than their stats."

This was almost certainly a veiled shot at Antonio Brown. If you’ll recall, Brown was not always happy during Smith-Schuster’s ascent. Brown was not happy that Smith-Schuster won the team MVP award in 2018. He even publicly criticized him for fumbling against the Saints with a playoff berth on the line.

Here’s a longer write-up at SI on the issues between Brown and Smith-Schuster if you’re interested in taking a stroll down memory lane.
When Ben is old like me, he will realize how many talented guys passed through steeler-vile and he let them go rather than make peace and win more Super Bowls.
He is a true Jerk. Terry Bradshaw is better. Always.
The 3 main players that left during his tenure were Plaxico, Brown and Bell… 3 paragons of virtue…
I always like to get my Steeler insight from a Redskin fan who hasn’t experienced professional football for 2 decades. I think you missed the point.
Damn. I forgot about AB all season until he was mentioned here.
