Ben Askren Says He Is Going To Make Jake Paul ‘Think Twice’ About His Boxing Future

Even though Ben Askren is the underdog to Jake Paul, he still thinks he’s winning. He even says he’s fixing to make Jake Paul “think twice” about his boxing career.

The 36-year-old had this to say about Paul’s future:

“I would venture to guess once this boxing thing starts getting serious [for Jake Paul], I think that getting serious starts April 17, he’s going to think twice about it,” Askren said. “He’s going to think, ‘Wow, there’s a lot easier ways for me to make money in life. I kind of thought this was cool and now maybe I’m thinking twice about this.'”

We have a pretty good feeling that if the paychecks keep coming, Paul probably won’t second guess these opportunities. Just a hunch.

Judging off Askren’s inexperience in the ring, it’s unlikely that he’s qualified to make Jake Paul second guess any career, let alone one in boxing. And Paul is just interested in making money anyway.

He will handpick all of his opponents, and we may even see some WWE action to maximize pay-outs. Who knows…Askren might be in on the fix too? Regardless, most of us will watch this all unfold April 17, and we sure hope one of these guys gets his tail kicked.

  1. Askren looked like garbage in his 3 UFC fights, and without assistance from Herb Dean in his debut, he probably would’ve retired after the Masvidal fight.

That being said, Askren has been competing against actual combat sports athletes his entire career. Not NBA players. And Askren will ABSOLUTELY sell this fight with his personality.

As far as who wins, I’m with Sheff. I could watch either of these guys take an ass kicking.
