Bama Fan Asks TV Lawyer, Can State Sue Clay Travis?

Videos by OutKick

Proving that they are in fact the dumbest fan base in the country, a Bama fan called into Mobile’s News Channel 15 last night during their Law Call segment.

James had an important legal question that didn’t deal with his foreclosure of backlog on child support.

Could the state of Alabama sue Clay Travis for what he wrote on the Internet?

The reaction of the local news people is priceless. This video quality isn’t great, but they appear to be genuinely stunned.

Credit to the TV lawyer who says, “I’m not sure that we as a state can sue someone for talking bad about us on the Internet.

Roll Tide, y’all.

(Props to our emailer who sent along this video along with this commentary: “I saw this on the news out of Mobile, AL tonight and just had to send it to you. You see what we Auburn fans have to deal with on a daily basis. Keep up the great work!”)

That dumbest fan base title in America?

It’s going to be almost impossible to ever take away from the Tide.

Update: the lawyer on the right side of the video, Bill Eiland, is an Outkick reader and sends us this email:

“Hey, Clay. I am a big fan! I just saw your post re: the fan and the lawyer call in show. I am the lawyer on the right side of the screen. I couldn’t understand his question while he was asking it. I wish I had so I could have poked at him a bit! I think he had had one too many! Keep up the good work!”
