Baker Mayfield Sends Well-Wishes To Cancer Patient, Says Browns 'Will Play For You'

Quarterback Baker Mayfield has done more than put the Cleveland Browns on the brink of their first playoff appearance in 17 years. He also took some time off to wish a 20-year-old cancer patient a message on social media.

According to a response to Mayfield's message on Twitter, the cancer patient's name is Jacob, and he's a 20-year old student at Miami University.

"Wanted to say I'm thinking about you, praying for you, both Emily and I," Mayfield said. "Just wanted to say thank you for your support. Once a Browns fan, always a Browns fan. We will play for you on Sunday and the many games to come after that. Thank you, thinking about you and your family, man. Hang in there. And go Browns as always, bud."

Mayfield and the Browns (10-4) can all but officially wrap up a playoff spot with a road win over the New York Jets on Sunday. They trail the Pittsburgh Steelers by one game for first place in the AFC North.
