Baker Mayfield Responds To Odell Beckham Sr.'s Video Defending His Son

Baker Mayfield officially responded Wednesday to the Odell Beckham Sr. Instagram post that has caused serious drama within the Browns organization and has even led the head coach, Kevin Stefanski to step in and take drastic action.

Beckham, according to Browns insiders, has been told he's officially done with the Browns for the rest of the season.

Mayfield, who found himself at the center of the drama after Beckham Sr. called out the quarterback for not finding his son on routes, faced the media and the drama.

"I think naturally he wants his son to succeed. I can't blame him for that. I want Odell to succeed. So that's where we're at," Mayfield said Wednesday.

As for whether there needed to be an apology from Beckham Jr. over the drama, Mayfield added "Yeah, I think any sort of conversation would go a long way."

It's been a wild week for Mayfield and Beckham Jr. Even the quarterback's wife, Emily Mayfield, got into the mix defending her husband against the Beckham Sr. attack. When asked by the media about the accusation that he's not throwing the ball to Beckham Jr. on purpose, Baker wasn't having it.

"Deliberately not throwing the ball to an extremely talented player that I've put in a lot of work with? It's an opinionated statement, I'll say," Mayfield responded.

As for Emily Mayfield, she stayed quiet on Wednesday and let her husband do all the talking. The Browns travel to Cincinnati Sunday. It doesn't look like Odell Beckham Jr. will be making the trip. He was excused from practice, by the team, on Thursday.
