Auburn Alum Kerryon Johnson Would Coach His Alma Mater, But Bring NCAA Violations With Him

It looks like Auburn might have a candidate interested in taking over as the next head coach. Someone on Twitter asked former Tigers running back Kerryon Johnson if he would have any interest.

Johnson said he'd take the job, but with a few stipulations. He's going to need the green light to pay players under the table. As long as that's cool, Auburn ... you have your man.

You have to respect the 23-year-old's honesty here, and his commitment to getting the job done right -- no matter what. The NCAA might take issue with his tactics, but that's an organization on its way out after being exposed by the pandemic anyways.

Johnson is currently in his third season as a running back for the Detroit Lions. But if he's willing, I say let the man do both. Coach on Saturdays, play on Sundays.
