Arizona Gets One Step Closer To Legalized Gambling

Sports gambling is on its way to Arizona as the U.S. Department of the Interior just approved an updated tribal gaming compact with the state. More importantly, this means that legal betting should be available before Week 1 of NFL games.

Hallelujah.

Professional sports and fantasy sports like our very own FanDuel will now be permitted to operate outside of reservation casinos.

Arizona governor Doug Ducey shared a tweet about the impact this will have on the local economy. All of what he says may be true, but it's more about fun. It made no sense that other states were soaking up the fun of sports betting while we Arizonians were miserable.

Sports just aren't what they should be when you can't hide a bit of money from the wife and run a parlay. Arizona, let's roll.
