Are Magic Mushrooms The Thing That Saved Mike Tyson's Life?

Former heavyweight boxing champion of the world Mike Tyson has never been shy about talking about his drug use, and his latest comments once again indicate that drugs, specifically mushrooms, is a big reason that the boxer is alive today.

Tyson is speaking about what he feels are the benefits of taking mushrooms, and in recent comments to Reuters says that he's a different person than the one that went to the ring with anger in his eyes years ago.

"Everyone thought I was crazy, I bit this guy's ear off," Tyson said to Reuters.

"I did all this stuff, and once I got introduced to the shrooms ... my whole life changed."

There's no doubt that Tyson is a different person is terms of his attitude and how he now seems to treat life, and he says that he had to distance himself from the person that was angry for all those years.

Tyson claims that the mushrooms he began taking is a big reason that he's now more in a positive state of mind.

"To think where I was - almost suicidal - to this now. Isn't life a trip, man? It's amazing medicine, and people don't look at it from that perspective" he said.

"I AM CURED."

Tyson is coming off a 'draw' with Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition bout last November at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

"I believe this is good for the world," said Tyson of mushrooms.

"If you put 10 people in a room that don't like each other and give them some psychedelics, they'll be taking pictures with each other," he said.

"Put 10 people in a room who don't like each other and give them some liquor, and they'll be shooting everybody. That's real talk.
