25. USC

Some quick notes:

1) Florida slid from no. 4 to no. 10 after falling to Texas A&M, who rose from no. 21 to no. 11 on the victory.

2) Mack Brown and North Carolina were ranked no. 8 last week, and leapfrogged Ohio State, whose Big Ten season has still not started.

3) Miami falls from no. 7 to no. 13 after losing to Clemson.

4) Tennessee didn’t get dinged too badly for losing to Georgia, dropping from no. 14 to no. 18.

5) Alabama having a relatively close matchup with Ole Miss was not enough for voters to put Georgia over them. This distinction doesn’t really matter because the two teams play each other next Saturday night so we’ll see on the field who is better.
