Democratic socialist and fan of acronyms, AOC is back from a trip to Puerto Rico with a status report about her family after a massive hurricane. Apparently, it’s all Trump’s fault.
Taking to Twitter, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez posted several pictures of the house where her grandmother currently resides and pointed the finger at former President Trump as the reason for the poor conditions.
The house, which could easily be mistaken for a junior college frat house, represents a deeper issue for the representative. What AOC sees is the byproduct of reduced funds for Puerto Rico stemming from the Trump presidency.
“Just over a week ago, my abuela fell ill. I went to Puerto Rico to see her- my 1st time in a year+ bc of COVID. This is her home. Hurricane María relief hasn’t arrived. Trump blocked relief $ for PR … People are being forced to flee ancestral homes, & developers are taking them.”
Rather than side with her errant logic regarding her abuelita‘s living conditions in Puerto Rico, followers quickly pointed out that Ocasio-Cortez’s six-figure salary as a member of Congress could certainly aid her grandmother better than the president of the United States could.
Known for her expensive public policy proposals, such as the Green New Deal, Ocasio-Cortez and her latest attack on Trump have left some people scratching their heads. AOC has a Tesla and a residence in New York City, yet she does not divert any of these funds to help her family in Puerto Rico.
AOC’s grandmother may not live in a suite from the Ritz, but that place looks like an upgrade to anyone who’s lived in student housing on American soil, outside of an Ivy League.
But don’t worry, she was rightfully scolded on Twitter for trying to redirect blame towards the former president.

Matt Walsh from Daily Wire started a Gofundme to help AOC’s grandma, with Clay Travis pitching in on the charity.
Ridiculous. 175K salary plus speaking fees and she sells merch. She makes more than I do and I take care of my family. I don’t expect the taxpayers to do it.
Hurricane Maria was in 2017. So this spoiled brat did nothing for 4 years and blames Trump? LOL.
Maybe AOC should hit Google up and see where all of those funds Trump approved for Puerto Rico went. Spoiler alert, the Governor of Puerto Rico diverted millions to her own purposes and left millions more unspent. But heaven forbid AOC call out her own party.
