Anthony Edwards Still Lost On Legend Of A-Rod, But Wishes A-Rod And J-Lo Had Stayed Together

Last week, Minnesota Timberwolves rookie guard Anthony Edwards said he didn't even know that Alex Rodriguez was a baseball legend. Edwards also may not have known that A-Rod is set to become part-owner of the Timberwolves, the team that selected Edwards with the No. 1 overall draft pick.

But Edwards is becoming more familiar with Rodriguez now -- and while Edwards says he hasn't watched any highlights of Rodriguez' game, the rookie says he is disappointed that Rodriguez recently split up with pop singer Jennifer Lopez.

Edwards' conversation with the media was summed up in the tweet below:

Basically, Edwards said he wants A-Rod to be happy because A-Rod is going to be the Wolves' owner. And per Edwards, that may not be the case after his breakup with J-Lo.

There aren't many reasons to follow the Timberwolves. They have the NBA's worst record once again, so now they are playing for nothing but another high draft pick.

But Edwards has given them hope for the future and hope that A-Rod will indeed end up as part owner, which could give us all more great Edwards quotes.
