Another Week, Another Crazy Bryson DeChambeau Tee Shot

You may not be a fan of golf, but Bryson DeChambeau is turning it into must-see TV.

The latest example came at the WGC Match Play Event in Austin, Texas, when DeChambeau blasted a drive on the par-four No. 10. It looked great at first -- but actually turned out kind of bad.

DeChambeau crushed the ball off the heel of his club. The ball then hit a tree left of the fairway. Then it ricocheted to the right, finally settling near the practice putting green near the clubhouse.

He admitted that, yes, it was but another attempt at a hero shot.

“I heel-pulled it lower than I wanted, came off low off the face, came out low—I could have easily cleared the trees up and over like I wanted to, but I hit it on the wrong part of the face and consequently hit the tree limb,” DeChambeau told reporters. “Hey, look, I was trying to drive the green, whether it was the practice green or the 10th green. I got it close.”

Basically, it was another attempt to drive the green for DeChambeau. This time, it failed. It will do that from time to time, if not most of the time. But the fact DeChambeau even bothers to try is what makes it so much fun.
