After missing the postseason for their fifth straight season, the Dolphins were compelled to choose between second-year head coach Brian Flores (24-25) or quarterback Tua Tagovailoa to refine their game plan for success.
With Flores out the door, the franchise seemingly made its commitment to Tua but the entire team doesn’t appear to be on board with the decision.
Chatting with the Sun-Sentinel, an unnamed Dolphins player spoke out on his starting quarterback with honest feedback on the franchise’s uncertain prospects under Tua.
“He can’t make every throw,” the Dolphins defender said, as relayed by Fox News’ Daniel Canova. “He’s only going to take us so far. I’m wasting my career here if that’s what we’re doing.”
Miami has been dubbed a top landing spot for Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson to choose from.
His rumored connection with Flores now moves the Dolphins to the outskirts in landing Watson.
“Watson’s an elite quarterback now,” the player added. “We’re ready to win.”
Having been benched twice in his rookie season by Flores, Tua’s status on the team as its premier starter has been far from set — often relegated to the backup’s role.
Completing 66.2 percent of his passes in his first two seasons (fifth-highest total in NFL history, per CBS Sports), Tua’s has presented a foundation for Miami to develop but still lacks the NFL pedigree to carry an offense on his own.
With the 2020 class of drafted quarterbacks (i.e., Justin Herbert, Joe Burrow) already making their mark in the league, the Dolphins must prioritize building a system around Tua to ultimately determine if he’s their guy. Or live with the regret of wrongfully firing Flores.

If it’s a wide receiver other than Waddle that made this “anonymous” comment then they need to keep their mouth shut. If there’s glaring weakness that the Dolphins have it’s on the outside. Deshaun Watson is untouchable to anyone that has any sense.
NFL teams will give players 2nd and 3rd chances for beating the hell out of women. They wouldn’t even blink over asking for a happy ending during a massage.
Felony sexual assault charges against this menace to women prolly a bridge too far even for the national felon league notice I say prolly smfh
I wouldn’t report using anonymous sources after the last 5 years. The media has spent its 9 lives on public trust. Maybe one day in ten years after an unvarnished record of integrity we might consider that again, but not on your life now.
When the word anonymous appeared in the storyline then, in my opinion it lost all credibility. It’s almost impossible to believe today’s journalist even when they DO use named sources.
Teams that should be backing up the dump truck full of money to sign Aaron Rogers:
1) Tennessee (talent everywhere except at QB)
2) Miami (see #1)
3) San Francisco (unless they actually pull it off this season, otherwise, see #1)
You know Polish is the only word in the English language that has a different meaning based on whether or not it is capitalized.
Tua was a huge waste of a top five pick he will never get them to the promised land just not that good and way too fragile best they can hope for is he stays upright for an entire season which ain’t likely judging from his college and so far pro history
