Fake Andy Reid Is Fooling Everyone, Taking Over The Internet

Videos by OutKick

A new conspi-Reid-cy is unfolding as there now appears to be TWO Andy Reid’s living in Kansas City.

CNN headline aside, the head coach for the Kansas City Chiefs was believed to be spotted at a Kansas City Royals game Saturday afternoon until a revelatory detailed shocked many.

The man you see is not the Andy Reid you’ve grown to love — a big bear of a coach known for leading the Chiefs to a Super Bowl 54 victory. Instead his name is Matt Black, a Kansas City local known for his identical appearance to Reid.

Matt made a number of sports media outlets do a double-take as the master mime of Missouri was spotted hilariously taking a number of selfies at the Royals game.

Walrus mustache, clear spectacles and a KC Chiefs polo to match, Matt Black also faked out a majority of Twitter until it was revealed that he was nothing more than a fan-favorite phony.

“I thought, if I can do a little bit on my side to bring a little fun, a little joy into people’s lives, then that’s what I’m doing,” said Black in an interview with FOX-4 when asked about his ongoing gag.

Doing exactly what anyone with a natural resemblance to Andy Reid would do, Matt’s played up the part in recent years to get a laugh out of others, and himself. “My favorite thing is, I don’t really have to act too much because you’d be surprised at how similar we really are in real life. People are kind of surprised. We have about the same gait when we walk, mustache is pretty similar. We got the little crooked thing.”

The outfit was outright convincing and, frankly, not a bad combo of leisure wear for an afternoon of watching baseball.

Though we all agree that his Hawaiian camp collars remain the MVPs of his wardrobe.
