The US open has gone the extra mile building a “relaxing zone” that includes golf, corn hole, and a basketball hoop. They designed this escape to help players unwind after the stresses of the US Open, but Andy Murray’s latest cussing tirade proves that he’s more like us on a golf course. Respect.
WARNING: More bleeps than a reversing lorry 🚨🤬— Amazon Prime Video Sport (@primevideosport) September 2, 2020
There's lots of off-court activities to help the players wind down at the #USOpen
Just look how much it's helping @andy_murray relax 🤣 pic.twitter.com/auS7UxLkNQ
Not sure who’s idea it was to build a putting green to reduce stress. That person has clearly never been on a green a day in their life. Don’t get us wrong, we would spend astronomical amounts of money to golf, but long term the sport never did anything to “relax” us.
Enough three-putts will have you cracking open a cold one into relaxation. That’s golf.
This video should go to show professional athletes can’t turn off their competitive drive to save their lives. Did we not watch Michael Jordan flipping quarters in his “Last Dance” special? It was life or death.
The 33-year-old tennis star would praise the relaxation zone anyway, likely because they told him to.
“There’s lots of things for the players to do. Yeah that’s just a little way the players can relax.”
After the camera crew captured Murray cursing like a sailor, he took it to Twitter to laugh it off.
Very good work from whoever was working the bleep button on this one… 🤦♂️🤣😬 https://t.co/WOnCM6qGLK— Andy Murray (@andy_murray) September 2, 2020
We want to thank Andy Murray for being a good sport, but we would suggest a couple drinks to take a load off at your next US Open appearance. Maybe throw a lip in. Just ask C.C. Sabathia.
