Andy Dalton Signs a One-year, $10 Million Deal With The Chicago Bears

The wait is officially over, as the Chicago Bears and Andy Dalton have agreed to a one-year, $10 million deal. There's another $3 million in incentives, just in case he's good. Oof.

Tough day to be a Bears fan.

Chicago was on Russell Wilson's list, but now that dream is dead (at least this year). But maybe there's still a chance? If traded, Wilson would still leave a $39 million dead cap hit in 2021, so Wilson is still in play after this upcoming season. It's just disappointing that Chicago may be using Andy Dalton to kill time.

Dalton threw for 2,170 yards with 14 touchdowns and eight interceptions during his stint with Dallas last season. We should expect much more mediocre play from Dalton and much more short term disappointment in downtown Chicago.

You will be in our prayers, Chi Town.
