Gov. Cuomo Bars Diners From Using Bathrooms

CNN Chris Cuomo's big brother is at it again. According to the New York Post, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo's latest arbitrary decision originally barred restaurants from allowing outside dining customers to use their indoor bathrooms.

Per Cuomo and his science, taking a bathroom break while eating outdoors is just too dangerous in COVID times.

"Customers are not allowed to enter the inside of an SLA-licensed establishment for any reason while the guidance is in effect," New York's guidance read.

Here is where it gets good.

A State Liquor Authority-licensed establishment asked in a document if they "may allow customers to use the bathroom inside?"

“No,” the reply said. “Customers may not enter the inside of the establishment for any reason.”

How do you like that?

One city restaurant, Il Posto Accanto on the Lower East Side, used Instagram to complain about the tyranny:

“The NYSLA new guidance for indoor dining states that customers may not enter the restaurant to use the restroom!!!” the post read. “Please Contact Governor Cuomo and all of our elected officials….This is not human!!!!!”

Shockingly, the mocking actually got to Cuomo. Quietly overnight, the rule was changed. The answer now reads a tad differently:

“Yes, restrooms may of course be used Patrons must wear face coverings, and may not linger or form lines, which would be noncompliant interior use.”

Yes, of course, the SLA said smugly, indicating no sane person would say otherwise...

I know what you are all asking now: will Gavin Newsom and Gretchen Whitmer soon ban bathroom use in general?
