Analyze Nate Oats' Golf Swing

Now we know who's been working on the golf game. Alabama basketball coach Nate Oats stepped onto the driving range at today's Regions Tradition pro-am and showed off the work he's been putting in at the simulator and on the range back home in Tuscaloosa where he is finally getting some time off after making it to the regional semifinals of the NCAA Tournament.

All joking aside, at least Nate's out there trying. We're talking about a guy who, during a March interview with WJOX in Birmingham, didn't realize how important Winged Foot Golf Club is to the sport. Oats was talking about Rick Pitino living near the course and called it "Winwood."

“Winged Foot, sorry yeah, I’m not a big golfer,” Oats told WJOX. “He lives up there on Winged Foot. He was telling me I’ll have to come by.

“Apparently, those that are really into golf, that’s a big-time spot,” Oats added. “So maybe, I’ll take him up on it and get up there once.”

Nate Oats...not a big golfer. Confirmed.
