Watch the Palace of Auburn Hills Implode

Even as Progress renders the destruction of sports venues that hold innumerable memories inevitable, it's always something to behold when one gets imploded. That happened today with The Palace of Auburn Hills, the former home of the Detroit Pistons:

While the event most associated with the building will always be the Malice at the Palace, I'll always remember that 2004 Pistons run where they beat a heavily favored Lakers team that featured Shaq, Kobe, Karl Malone, and Gary Payton.

Pour one out for the Palace of Auburn Hills.
