President Donald Trump Slashes Deficit in Latest Survey

Joe Biden’s lead over President Donald Trump in the polls is narrowing. That’s according to the latest CNN poll released Sunday.

The survey shows Biden holding a 4 percent lead, which is down dramatically from 14 percent in June. The poll states 50 percent of registered voters will cast their ballot for Biden, compared to 46 for the president.

These results are particularly encouraging to Trump supporters as polls underestimate his support. Voters are afraid to support Trump publicly, this is well documented. Thus, the inaccurate 2016 polls that led to a surprising victory for Trump.

Voters agree that could be the case yet again. Despite polls indicating Biden has more supporters, a Fox News poll revealed more Americans expect their neighbors are supporting Trump than Biden. Many of which are doing so quietly.

Friday, Bill Maher, who wants Trump out of office more than anyone in the media, outside of personalities at ESPN, admitted Biden's lead concerns him.

"Biden's ahead, but he's not, to my view, comfortably ahead, not for my comfort," Maher said. "I mean, Hillary was ahead by more at some point. And I just got to ask, what is your party doing against this walking disaster that you can't close the gap better than that?"

As I've warned at Outkick, any confident prediction is foolish. There are far too many telling events from now until voting day yet to occur. Most notably, the three debates that should be as telling and potentially vote-swinging as they are entertaining.

The DNC kicks off today.

78 days to go.
