Mo Speights Throws Shade At LeBron

Former Golden State Warrior Mo Speights is under storm for posting a photo on Twitter that favors Kobe and Michael Jordan over LeBron. It may be okay to feel the way he does, but the timing makes him look like a hater.

Plenty of our readers favor Michael Jordan over LeBron James, but this isn't the time to open up the history books and defend Michael. Preaching for MJ at a time like this should remind us of LeBron trending when the Jordan Docs were released. Both sides of the G.O.A.T debate may feel like they're right, but the timing of their arguments also needs to be right.

The funniest part of all is that Speights decides to poke the bear by sending this message and then switches his Twitter to private immediately afterwards. If you can dish out a slight to James right after winning his fourth title, then you should stick around for the backlash.

Most of basketball Twitter has gotten a kick out the fact that Mo Speights, who averaged 7.9 points/game while in the NBA and who now plays for the Chinese Basketball Association, is the messenger. Maybe he's just upset that the Warriors threw his tail on the floor for the final seconds of the 2016 Finals?

The G.O.A.T debate is pointless because neither side is budging regardless of what happens on the floor. We'd all be better off letting LeBron and Jordan receive their flowers whenever they accomplish something. We can always watch a documentary on their title runs later.
