DeSean Jackson Says Fake Hitler Quote He Shared Wasn't Intended As Hatred Towards Jews

DeSean Jackson, the wide receiver for the Philadelphia Eagles, shared a flagrantly anti-semitic post on Instagram this week. He shared a quote attributed to Hitler that said "because the white Jews know that the Negroes are the real Children of Israel and to keep Americas secret the Jews will blackmail America". The fact-checking site Snopes says this quote is a hoax.

Facing backlash for sharing it, Jackson later wrote that anyone who took this quote as being anti-Jewish was interpreting the wrong way:

As Crossing Broad noted, Jackson also shared a couple since-deleted entries praising Louis Farrakhan.

As the Anti-Defamation League has pointed out, Farrakhan has railed against Jews for a sustained period. Thus far, the Eagles -- whose owner Jeffrey Lurie and general manager Howie Roseman are Jewish -- have not weighed in on the matter.
