Harvard Anti-Israel Protestors Disgracefully Fly Palestine Flag Where US Flag Usually Hangs

In an absolutely abhorrent and completely disrespectful act, anti-Israel protestors at Harvard University flew the Palestinian flag outside University Hall on Saturday. That flagpole usually holds the flag of the United States.

Several protestors participated in the act of flying the flag, while others cheered and chanted, "Down, down with occupation. Up, up with liberation." Then, they switched to, "Free, free, free Palestine."

According to the Harvard Crimson, protestors flew three Palestine flags over University Hall. Harvard University police called in Harvard Yard Operations, who took down the Palestine flags while protestors yelled "Shame!" at the officials removing the flags.

The flagpole where they flew the Palestian flag usually holds the American flag, although the Stars and Stripes wasn't flying at the time because the university puts it away at night for safekeeping, the Crimson reported.

Harvard has been a central player in allowing students to shamefully protest in favor of Palestine, which is led by the terrorist organization Hamas. The same terrorists who perpetrated an unthinkable act of violence on Israeli citizens on October 7.

Despite the act of aggression, many students on college campuses have taken to siding with the terrorist-led group. Some campuses have gotten so bad that Jewish students have been advised to leave for their own safety.

Flying a Palestinian flag where the United States flag usually flies symbolizes much more than just a group of uneducated students siding with a terrorist regime. It shows that much of the disdain isn't directed at Israel, it's directed at the United States.

Despite being some of the most privileged human beings on the planet –  with many having been born in the U.S. or having the means to attend the ridiculously expensive "elite" university – these kids think the United States is inherently evil.

That's absurd, and an affront to everything this country stands for and has built. Unfortunately, their world view only allows for two classes of people: oppressors and the oppressed.

To them, the Palestinians represent an oppressed people because they are mostly Muslim and have brown skin. The Israelis are mostly Jewish and mostly white, which makes them – by default – the oppressors. At least, according to this simplistic mindset.

These kids are, unfortunately, mostly brainwashed. I visited Harvard's campus in October and spoke to students who were organization a fundraising effort for Palestine.

Here's what I wrote about that experience:

I decided to ask them why they chose to support this cause. They gave some lines about the citizens of Gaza needing support. Fine, no problem.

I asked them if they thought Jewish students might be offended by their fundraising efforts. They said no because they aren't against Jewish people, just the state of Israel. But, they pointed out that raising funds for Palestinians didn't mean that they didn't care about Israeli civilians.

So, I simply asked why not hold a fundraiser for everyone affected by the conflict in the Middle East.

The response: "Hamas actually treats the Israeli hostages really well." Then, they told me I should "look it up." I asked them to show me. They showed me a CNN.com article.

Remember, this was back in October. Then, they were claiming that this had nothing to do with Jewish people. But, as we've seen with the rise of antisemitic language and actions on these campuses, clearly it has something to do with the Jewish people.

And, of course, tearing down the United States and Western civilization. To those students I say, "For shame."
