84-Year-Old Man Drives Without License . . . For 72 Years
A United Kingdom man committed a crime more than 70 years ago and likely would've never been caught, if not for a traffic camera. Turns out, the eye in the sky really doesn't lie.
Police across the pond recently pulled over an 84-year old man in a blue Mini Cooper, and discovered that he was driving without a license or insurance. The driver, who had to suffer through the public humiliation of putzing around town in a Mini Cooper, admitted to police that not only was he without a license or insurance, but he has been cruising without either since he was 12!
According to SWNS, the 84-year-old behind the wheel is a retiree who, police said, had trouble standing and hearing after being pulled over. He admitted to police that he had been driving without a license or insurance since he was 12.
That's an impressive streak of flying ... er, driving under the radar.
Police opted not to release the man's name, but did make the following statement: “Thankfully he had never had an accident, caused anyone an injury, and never made anyone lose out financially, by hitting them whilst uninsured!”
The golden-aged law breaker was discovered joy riding, thanks to a traffic camera that's there to identify vehicles that are being driven without proper documentation.
Fortunately for him, it appears this absolute legend wasn't arrested or issued a ticket. Fortunately for all of us, there's now one less Mini Cooper on the road.
