Alabama Football Allowing Over 20,000 Fans At Home Games

Alabama football announced today they will be allowing approximately 20 percent capacity at home games. Given that Bryant-Denny holds nearly 102,000 fans, this means that over 20,000 will be permitted in the stands. Here is the letter that was sent to season ticketholders:

Earlier today, the SEC announced that the amount of fans will be left up to individual institutions -- and their local regulatory guidelines -- and that all fans must wear masks.

This news comes a day after the Kansas City Chiefs announced they will be opening the season with Arrowhead Stadium at 22 percent capacity. Jerry Jones has expressed an intention for the Cowboys to host fans, but did not say how many. The Atlanta Falcons also plan to allow between 10,000 and 20,000 fans in their stadium.
